Awww!!! Some great photos from Neoart Photography, Congrats to Jessica and Adam, can I tell you how smitten I am with these great choice of colors?!! Aside from being some of my favourites, I just love the tones and warmth that they exudes, and I loved the fact that Jessica changed this up a bit by going all white on her bouquet with hydrangeas, freesia, roses, ranunculus while keeping the girls all reds. And, lets not forget those copper candle holders and that incredible linen choice....love it!!!!!

Pink & Yellow done right!!!!!

So while picking up flowers for a contemporary organic design, the question was asked, " who design using pink and yellow, seems like an odd washed out combo." My answer....The Great Designers @ Beautiful Kreations......I definitely had a great laugh :) We incorporated bupluerum, seeded eucalyptus, succulents, equisetum (horsetail), and curly willow to our pink and yellow palette and here it is. A fresh earthy, organic smelling, contemporary design for our corporate client. It was beyond loved, and we love that :)

Ok so the professional images will follow and hopefully we won't have "bikini girl" in the shot. What can I say about this bamboo arch, it's stunning!!!! So perfectly balanced with nature. Catia's colors of oranges with a touch of blue was truly divine. Our 4 post bamboo arch was custom built for this event and we had an amazing time putting all the pieces together. For flowers, just think of every orange bloom, well, Not every orange bloom, but that's what it felt like :) We used mango mini callas, orange pin cuhions, orange hypericum berries, orange circus roses, orange asiatic lillies, did i get them all?!!! and oh!! orange mokara orchids. We highlight the arrangements with pops of blue dendrobium orchids and pale yellow roses. The look was awesome, the bride and planner Veronica from Blue Ivy events were so in love with our "Beautiful Kreations" :)

Loving the details on Marie's bouquet, white mini callas with her touches of "Blings" we used white satin ribbon and finish the look with 3 crystal ribbons for a modern classic touch. And, how gorgeous is this ceremony arrangement below? Over 8ft tall, we constructed this huge piece using curlly willow branches, pomander balls of white tea roses, loads of white Dutch hydrangeas, white akito roses, white dendrobium orchids from Thailand, hanging crystals for more "bling" plus we added a custom fit white satin fabric to finish this modern wooden box, with of course more bling :)

I love 'em, these cute, sturdy, with a bit of texture mason jars. It seems like where ever you looked last year on any major blogs, there they were. We had several clients who adored them last year, but after booking quite a few more this year and into next, it seems like these little jars are here to hang. Let's face it they are as All American as Apple Pie. You can drink from them, arrange flowers in them, and of course put apples in them, they are fun and conversational. However you choose to use them, I think they are a worthwhile addition to any modest design. Here are a few of my mason jars favorite designs and usage :)

A Long, long, looooong time ago i use to design using synthetic flowers. kinda fun being drawn back to do it again for a couple who will be setting sail via Royal Caribbean right after their wedding and needed a bouquet that customs won't fuss about. using these beautiful blooms, i was able to pull the brides choices of darker tones with pops of lighter tones for an autumn meet springy kinda look :) we finished it off with chocolate double face satin ribbon for added glow.

Later on this year, we'll do a full version wedding using all silk flowers :)

A member of the Protea family, Blushing Bride flowers in spring producing papery white bracts, or floral leaves, surrounding feathery tufts of white to pinkish flowers. Flowers are white or pink. ‘Sugar ‘n’ Spice’ is a well-known variety with pink flowers and deep, rose pink colouring on the white bracts, available from July through to September.
This striking flower was used commonly as a bridal flower in southern Africa which is where it's name is thought to come from. Suitors were known to propose with a bloom of the wild flower in their lapel, the darker the pink of the flower, the more serious their intention.
Unfortunately, these flowers were over-exploited due to their popularity and the species was near extinction in the wild until conservation measures in the 1960’s and 70s saved it.

Blushing Bride is grown in Australia on large bushes in plantations. Plantations are found all over Australia, and these flowers are also grown in South Africa, Israel and the US, including Hawaii.

Our bride today wanted to mix things up a bit, she had an idea of flowers, + colors, But! Also, we love collecting sea shells can you incorporate those too, with the little grassy things? Well a resounding YES! assured our happy couple as we take on the task to interpret a design + decor. Here is what we designed based on their vision.

A single stem white mini calla with a blue dendrobium orchid bloom perfectly affixed to green moss and finished off with matching blue gingham ribbon, sea shells and a mini starfish was just ideal for our Groom:)

Her gorgeous bouquet was done using white mini callas, individual stem wired blue dendrobium orchid blooms + assorted sea shells. We finished the look with chocolate brown satin ribbon paired with blue gingham ribbon, AND! there is that starfish again..our bride simply Love, LOVE starfish,

Today Theresa + Joe got married at Shulas on the beach (an absolute great ocean view venue) in a beautiful ceremony in front of 40 of their closest friends, and their flowers were exactly how they envisioned them...

Sa--weeet!!!!!! I love l-o-v-e..what I do ..... I spend endless time making sure our team understands the vision and importance of each and every event large or small!!!!!!

The wedding cake was simply gorgeous. Adorned with seashells and that must have "starfish" and the grooms cake was just as beautiful, Dallas Cowboys shaped liked!!!... u guessed it a starfish. Can't wait for a few of the professional images :)

'Spring Fling' brings May flowers

May 19, 2010

Wishes will be in bloom at the third annual "Spring Fling and Flower Fashion Show" when South Florida's finest glide down the runway in unique floral creations fashioned by local florists and designers, to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Southern Florida. Guests will be treated to a one-of-a-kind fashion show featuring recognizable personalities and fabulous flowers. Local fashionistas and celebrities, such as Roxanne Vargas and Miss America Touch of Class 2008 Becky Willard will take to the catwalk, along with former wish child Nicole, whose wish to be a Broadway star was granted in 2007. All will be dressed outrageous outfits created from bags of blossoms.

Each ensemble, fashioned out of orchids, roses, tulips, pansies and more takes multiple hours to produce. The creations will be designed by few of South Florida's fine florist to include Beautiful Kreations.

The event will be held at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort on May 21 at 7 p.m. Cost is $40 per ticket which includes two drinks during a cocktail reception, heavy hors d'oeuvres and the opportunity to bid on distinctive items during a silent auction.

How exciting was last week's Taste of NACE we had a blast creating our Vintage Inspired tablescape design composing feathers, crystals, milk vases on Golden Mozart linens, Chloe Chameleon chairs, Vanessa Gold china with Alma glass gold charger...I heard The Donald used the china at his wedding... :) Our host venue Panache is so huge, I mean all the better to service the entire So. Florida and beyond, we had a slew of amazing vendors showcasing their talents. Take a look at how Panache turned their sewing room into a Rock Star VIP room I mean how amazing was this idea of displaying some of their china for this table idea "pretty awesome" The Donut Divas & Fun Foods did there thing, Chocolate Fountains of So. Florida provided chocolate covered strawberries and Cafe Ala Carte kept us moving with their knock-out espresso, cappuccino and I just love, love the "Human Body Art" all I have to say is "great covering", and thanks to Ela NEOART for the awesome pictures.

We had a lovely Destination Wedding earlier this week at the Key Largo Grande. It was my first time meeting our bride Christy who flew in from Virginia she is quite lovely and such a wonderful spirit. This is our 3rd time designing at the Key Largo Grande but our first time on the 3rd floor in the Cypress room. Never knew that room was there! The view from the Cypress room was amazing, and the perfect size for Christy's 25 guests. The long rectangle table was the perfect set-up to accommodate her 8 low arrangements. Flowers consist of circus roses, green cymbidium orchids, mango callas with white ranunculus. Professional images to follow!

Wedding Floral Takes an Architectural Turn, Experts Say

Massive, showy floral displays are being replaced by intimate, detailed arrangements at weddings today, according to leading floral designers. Many brides are turning to flowers such as Phalaenopsis orchids, which thanks to their striking shape provide drama with only a few stems.

Mark Held, head of Sherman Oaks, Calif.-based Mark's Garden and longtime florist for the Academy Awards Oscar Ball, says brides today prefer fewer, but larger, flowers. And he advises sticking with one type rather than mixing many flowers together. “Today’s brides want a cleaner, more stylized look,” he says. “Orchids are very popular—especially mixed with an assortment of exotic leaves.”

Mark Herrier, with Fleurs du Jour of Santa Monica, Calif., creates a personalized look with exotics such as orchids, succulents and thistles, along with what he calls "sprigs and twigs"--unusual branches or bush foliage used as the focal point rather than the accent. “These days it is not unusual to use only flowering branches for the entire arrangement,” he says, noting that he likes to incorporate the uncommon, such as wild green raspberry brambles and orange kumquat branches into his designs. “It is an elegant, architectural look, and costs much less than filling the same amount of space with densely packed flowers.”

FEATHER FEATURE

For brides on a budget, Denver-based Newberry Brothers Greenhouse and Florist will mix feather plumes with flowers. "Brides love the romantic feel of them when they are done in a tasteful way,” notes Newberry's Emily Tolve. And while feathers are initially expensive to purchase, they can be used repeatedly and simply rented to the client. Another budget-stretcher: Newberry Brothers will combine a few Phalaenopsis stems with a gleaming mix of candles for a dramatic centerpiece.

And don’t forget the water. “These days, how we design an arrangement below the waterline is almost more important than what we do above it,” Herrier says. “Because today is more about personalized, detailed work, we are able to design more architecturally, with more creative freedom—and with a lot fewer flowers.”

How cool was last evening NACE networking event at Newport Beachside Resort in Sunny Isles we had a blast. We had a great time putting together these lovely centerpieces using hydrangeas, mini callas, white dendrobium orchids with fresh green succulents. I love that plant so versatile and offers a lot of texture and added beauty. Also very eco friendly, succulents are re-usable and can grow new offshoots. Check them out at your local nurseries.We complimented the boutique look with coins as part of our March Madness Membership Drive "No Worries these are Fake coins"

And grand it was! We had so much fun designing the wedding event for Amy & Jeffrey at the iconic landmark the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. Amy was a true beauty and an awesome bride to work with- All of her details were exactly how she wanted it and we are definitely happy she trusted us completely to fulfill her design requests. We also had a thrilled time designing for the The Bonnet House for their Impressions Event hosting roughly 300 guests. Impressions is an annual juried art competition with fine food, fine wines and fine friends amid the Old Florida Charm of Bonnet House. ...The designs was all about tropicals, if you've never visited the Bonnet House put it as a MUST on your to do list when visiting South Florida. If I'm not mistaken I believe it was also featured on the 7th season of the Amazing Race . A real Historical beauty.

Tailgate 2010

We are so honored to be working with PPW and the NFL. We'll be taking part in the design process for the NFL 2010 Tailgate Party here in Miami at the now re-named Sun Life Stadium. We are working alongside Veteran PPW/ NFL Tailgate Designer Amy with The Hidden Garden from Los Angeles as well as with a local nursery ATOP Inc,.

Our first day was off to a great start we accomplished so much, we un-packed, sorted, and did I mention more unpacking and sorting......(: getting organized is the first step.
The team will be working with many exotic blooms, Parakeet Hellicionia, Makara Orchids, an assortment of Dendrobiums, Tropical Foliage, Spider Mums, Sunflowers, Casablancas etc... I'm so excited about the decor and can't wait to reveal how these little beauties will transform the spaces they will occupy :)

Together for years, they decided to become husband and wife. Witnessed by their loving family and friends, their wedding was an evening of love, dancing, hilarious toasts, scrumptious food, great music, family and much more love. It was a very windy day, so alisonfrank chose to do the portraits of the bride and groom indoors, using the hotel’s design as the backdrop. The ceremony and reception took place on the top floor of the Hyatt Regency Pier 66 in downtown Fort Lauderdale. The room was gorgeous, our team did an amazing job delivering on the green, black and white design concept. Tamar looked stunning, and Bruce handsome and together, they are a perfect fit.

TLC 4 Weddings

Just received notice for 4weddings from www.tlc.com sending info over to our brides whose wedding will be between now and April 2010.

TLC is looking for brides who are getting married during Jan-April this year, and who lives in or close to the Miami area. The producers want to showcase every type of wedding and every kind of bride. 1st timers, 2nd timers, big weddings, small weddings, theme weddings...you name it.

Are you having a wedding or know of someone having a wedding during that time? If so, let us know and we'll email you the info.
It's a really fun concept. This is NOT like a "Bridezillas" or anything that is snarky or negative...it is the exact opposite.

They're doing a show that actually wants to see your wedding day turn out as perfect as you've planned it. In this economic climate, most couples are having to sacrifice their honeymoons and other luxuries surrounding their big day, so TLC is giving these brides the opportunity to feature their wedding on a brand new show and a chance to WIN an all expense paid, 5-star vacation!

Boudoir Photography has gained popularity in recent years. Some nearlyweds are still a bit hazy on what Boudoir is, and some aren't sure if they'd be comfortable taking the plunge in a racy Boudoir photo shoot.

So today (inspired by these gorgeous Boudoir shots from weddingsbyheather ), I thought I'd clear the air and fill you in on the ins and outs of Boudoir!

What is Boudoir Photography? The art of visually capturing the inner and outer beauty of regular women, in a soft, sensuous and classy way.
Why would I schedule a Boudoir session? There are a few things to remember when considering a boudoir shoot...
1. Boudoir photographs make a wonderful wedding day, Valentine's Day, or Anniversary gift for your man!

2. If you are planning your wedding, you've likely been working hard on getting your bod into tip top shape.

Keep falling in love with this simple arrangement, now mind you these left over flowers from our setup were just randomly placed in a vase and set off to the side. However, the magnificient Ela Raveling from neoartphotography just brought so much energy to it. Thru her lens she found and bring this simple leftover to life. The colors of the pink hydrangeas and pink lydia roses were true to form. Love It!

Happy 2010!!!!!! What a ride it was in 2009. Through all the bumps, twists and turns we've done what we know how to do best and that's delivering exceptional service to all our clients. As we welcome 2010 with open arms I would be remised if didn't point out some of our poignant accomplishments.

Beautiful Kreations went from a 2 office room to now occupying over 1000sq feet of independent retail/warehouse space; we are once again a preferred vendor with Jacaranda CC and have established great relationships with Texas De Brazil in Miami Beach through which we've done the 9th Annual Concierge Fashion show at the Aventura Bloomingdale's. We also welcome our new relationship with The Bonnet House in Fort Lauderdale as a preferred vendor.

We've wound out the year with quite a few spectacular weddings and we're glad that we've been attracting clients that seeks tasteful, timeless, chic, lush designs and planning services. As we continue to grow our Brand in 2010 we look forward to more interesting/intriguing clients with avant garde taste.
We have quite a few educational seminars lined up to learn more about our industry and we can't wait to impart these wonderful ideas on to you to aid in the visual aesthetics of your wedding or special event.

On our horizon for 2010 we have quite a few huge projects that we are so privileged and honor to be apart of. We look forward to these milestone accomplishments and can't wait to share them with you all!

Lyn is packed in a 5x5 clear cube with plum coloured water, pink hydrangeas, white and plum calla lillies looped with bear grass. Since late October we've been on a pink and purple/plum ride our clients are just nuts about the look and so are we :)

Plastic Vases.....ummmhhh!!!!

The plastic vases seem to be a new thing lately. I was a bit unsure about the plastic part of it, but they still have their benefits: they're infinitely reusable and it's a nice alternative to the standard glass vase, and in this economy it's more cost effective than some of the fancy glass vases available. Plus (and this is a major plus if you live in what is basically a large closet) they fold up flat for easy and compact storage! Perhaps a bit too informal for a wedding (although I can see them working quite nicely for a casual outdoor wedding with unique table linens), they would however provide a nice spot for flowers at a shower. The ones above have pretty cute designs. They make me feel a little ikea-ish, which I don't mean in a bad or good way, it's just the illustrations. Check 'em out at Jillable.

Start a Tradition: Plant a Tree

It's supposed to be a sign of fertility, but it could also be symbolic of the commitment between you and your husband. Saw this interesting tip on Natural Health Magazine and thought it worth sharing. Plus, I found a this really cute picture of lemons that I just had to share!

Next time you ask for lemon in your tea, remember to get a good whiff first! Did you know scientists have found a link between our sense of smell and depression? Lemons in particular seem to boost seratonin levels, which is a "feel good hormone." Pretty nifty, right?

Napkin Decor

You will get asked a million questions about a hundred little details throughout your wedding planning process! Don't let these details stress you out, but don't throw them aside quite yet. Each detail will add a bit more character and 'wow' factor to your decor. One specific item that you may roll your eyes at and say, "I don't care" is your napkins, specifically how they are folded and presented to your guests. Whether it is the napkin color, texture, fold or a flower/jewel placed on it to highlight it - they will make the table stand out.

Give your guests a preview of what they will be eating with a playful menu. Have a fun color or shape designed to jump out on the table. The key to napkin decor is to have a beautiful flower or sparkling jewel to add some spice. Fold your napkin in a way where you can slip the flower in the fold with the menu and it will all fit together well. If your head is still spinning from the first 100 detailed decisions, I am not suggesting you recreate a new breathtaking design. Check out all of the pictures online and find one that strikes you - tweak it to work for your reception venue and color themes. Find inspiration in other couples' designs! You will be surprised how adding one simple flower or jewel to each napkin will transform your wedding and leave your family and friends in awe when they walk into your reception!

Pop the Cork on your Something Blue

For your "something blue", the options are endless. Some brides choose a hot pair of blue heels. Some opt for a gorgeous bridal hair accessory with a sapphire or turquoise stone.

But what if your something blue could be enjoyed by all the guests at your wedding? The folks at Champagne Pommery, have a couple bubblies that taste great and are dressed in blue!

Back, Back and more Back-Amy Michelson Spring 2010 Collection

Seriously one of these days I too shall have a back like this.......
Plunging, intricate backs have always been her thing, and this season, Amy Michelson knocked it out of the park. I've always thought that one of the sexiest parts on a woman is her back, and Michelson's Spring 2010 wedding dresses frame, highlight and showcase these feminine curves

We've already talked about the big Spring 2010 runway trends, and Amy Michelson incorporated some of these into her collection with style and grace. For the flower appliques, Michelson got creative and used beautiful feathers- like the large feather sunflower (left) and the small feather lily flowers (right) above.
Another thing I love about this collection is the generous use of lace throughout- mermaid lace was used to craft the bodice of the Ariel, and used head-to-toe for the gorgeous Corsage wedding dress. The Love Me Tender gown is one of my favorites, complete with lover's lace, organza roses, and feathers. Here is one of my previous bride sporting some great back.
